Dr. Mona Delahooke

Looking Beyond Behaviors to Support Children's Social and Emotional

Development

In this Webinar, Dr. Delahooke presented about a lens shift and a paradigm shift in the fields of psychology and education where experts and educators are redefining how we understand children's development and in particular how we understand behavioral differences.  Dr. Delahooke spoke about the research and gave examples from her book "Beyond Behaviors: Using Brain Science and Compassion to Understand and Solve Children's Behavioral Challenges".

Webinar participants were able to:

  • Learn about the neuroscience that is driving a paradigm shift in how people understand behaviors in children and young people.
  • Understand how behaviors are viewed through a lens of neuro development.
  • Examine the effects of toxic stress and trauma on the body.
  • Explore details related to the Polyvagal Theory.
