ABOUT OUR PANELISTS:
Robyn Gobbel, MSW
Robyn Gobbel has 20 years of practice as a family and child therapist specializing in complex trauma, attachment, and adoption. Her diverse clinical training includes EMDR(including EMDR adapted for children with attachment trauma), Somatic Experiencing, Theraplay, Trust Based Relational Intervention®, Circle of Security Parent Educator, The AlertProgram® and Yogapeutics Aerial Yoga Level 1 Teacher Training. Robyn has integrated these training modalities with a foundation of attachment theory and the relational neurosciences to create an attachment-rich, sensory-sensitive, and relational neurosciences supported healing paradigm for children and families. Robyn consults, teaches, and trains extensively throughout the US. She previously served as an instructor for the Foundations of Interpersonal Neurobiology Certificate Program at Portland Community College, as well as with the Adoptive & Foster Family Therapy Post-Graduate Certificate Program. Robyn has served on the working board of the Global Association for Interpersonal Neurobiology Studies (GAINS). Robyn is the host of The Baffling Behavior Show podcast and the author of Raising Kids with Big, Baffling Behaviors: Brain-Body-Sensory Strategies that Really Work. |
Guy Stephens, E.D. of Alliance Against Seclusion and Restraint
Guy Stephens is the founder and executive director of the Alliance Against Seclusion and Restraint (AASR), a nonprofit organization he started in 2019. AASR is a community of over 30,000 parents, self-advocates, teachers, school administrators, paraprofessionals, attorneys, related service providers, and others working together to influence change in supporting children whose behaviors are often misunderstood. AASR's mission is to inform changes in policy and practice to reduce and eliminate the use of punitive discipline and outdated behavioral management approaches and end the school-to-prison pipeline. The vision of AASR is safer schools for students, teachers, and staff. Guy Stephens is a national expert on the issue of restraint and seclusion. He has presented at conferences and events across North America and has provided guest lectures for undergraduate and graduate courses. Guy is the host of the AASR Live podcast, a biweekly video podcast that started in 2020. In 2022, Guy spoke to the House Committee on Education and Labor of Congress in support of the Keeping All Students Safe Act. |
Lee Collyer, Director of Special Programs at Olympic ESD
Lee Collyer currently serves as Director of Special Programs at Olympic Educational Service District #114 in Bremerton, WA. Lee has 20 years of experience leading and designing programs for students and families in various educational and residential environments. He has presented to and trained professionals nationally on topics such as restraint and seclusion/isolation prevention, juvenile incarceration, MTSS, special education, poverty, classroom management, crisis management, and positive behavior support. |
Cynthia Blasko, Director at Roots of Inclusion
Cynthia Blasko has worked with public school districts to support children who type to communicate. First in Montgomery County, Maryland, and in Bellevue, Washington, She has advocated, trained, coached, and collaborated with elementary, middle, and high school staff to support inclusion for students with complex communication needs. She also provides training for workshops and conferences both locally and nationally. |
Rebecca Knutsen, M.Ed., Early Childhood Educator and Being With™ Practitioner Rebecca Knutsen, M.Ed. Rebecca has a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education and a Bachelor of Science in Child Psychology from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities. She is a licensed teacher and has over 15 years of experience working with children, families, and school staff. Becky is a licensed Being With™ practitioner, serves as a student coach in the Being With™ training program, and is on track to become a Being With™ Advanced Practitioner. |

10 Clock Hours are being offered for completion of this series.
The series consists of a four session Webinar Series with an Educator Discussion Panel. You must watch all four Webinars and the Educator Discussion Panel to receive clock hours. Each webinar includes a brief reflection form that must be completed on the Roots of Inclusion On-Demand Learning Platform.
Roots of Inclusion has provided self-paced On-Demand Learning Modules for educators requesting clock hours for this webinar series.
- Each webinar will have a companion Learning Module that will have to be completed to receive clock hours for this program. - We are not able to provide partial clock hours. - This On-Demand Learning series will be available through March 31, 2025. |
